So Fatih Akin, shockingly, after winning both the Golden Globes as well as the Critics' Choice Award, did not make the 2018 Best Foreign Language Oscar cut. But congratulations go out to Hans Zimmer, this time for his 12th (!) Oscar nomination for the Dunkirk score, and to director Katja Benrath for her Best Short nomination with WATU WOTE.
