The choreographic staging of Hitcock's thriller with Jimmy Stewart is the brainchild of performer-filmmaker Francesco Gagliardi, who took part in our InterMedia Residency with his friend and media arts colleague Daniel Kötter, and also includes performance artist Cara Spooner, who created a magical urban space walk for the Goethe-Institut Toronto last summer.
(I have been keeping James Andrew Patterson's lovely accompanying yellow essay/book "Francesco Gagliardi. Film: Rope" in my jacket pocket to read on the go.)
