Bio
With no doubt Refat can be characterized as multitalented, restless and über creative; as a sound artist, musician and producer, his works has been released on CD, performed live and installed in spaces. Refat founded the record label 100COPIES Music and the associated live music venue with recording studio called 100COPIES Music Space and Studios. In 2007 he started to organize Cairo’s 100LIVE Electronic Music Festival, which features local and international acts year by year. Besides all these interesting obligations and his work as a part Bikya, Refat has been composing for theater and cinema for the past 15 years.

Mahmoud Refat & TEN CITIES
Together with Gerriet Schultz, Mahmoud Refat curated and facilitated the fifth TEN CITIES episode of musical collaboration, which took Berlin's Diamond Version to Cairo in May 2013. Further participants from Cairo were Bikya, Wetrobots and an extended circle of musicians from Egypt.
