‘EkoCup’ is a unique annual festival of international environmental films, which was successfully held in Moscow from 17th to 20th February this year, as well as it was for the first time in Almaty, Kazakhstan from 24th to 27th February (http://ecocup.kz).

From May 24 to June 5, EkoCup Festival will have the spring tour in Ukraine!

The festival’s aim is to make the viewers get to know the current environmental problems, show them the accessible form of solutions. First of all, the fest is designed for people who have already worried about its environmental future. It is mainly young people under 35 years old. However, it will be undoubtedly interesting to everyone to watch our films!

We create not only festival of interesting environmental films ‘EkoCup’, but also saturated ECO space. The "green" artists, designers, photographers and their works; board with "green"-Dating, eco-fair, eco-breakfasts, good movies, discussions, delicious coffee will be waiting for the spectators there.

The professional ecologists, public figures, "green" architects and economists will be performing at the festival.
There are a lot of films in the official program of this year's festival, including such one as ‘I Bought A Rainforest’ (Sweden 2009), ‘Garbage Dreams’ (USA / Egypt 2009), Short Film Programs (France, USA, UK, Canada, Italy, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Spain, Uruguay, Germany). It will be shown some extra environmental films, not mentioned in the official program.

The festival program will be shown in the next Ukrainian cities: Kiev, Donetsk, Sevastopol, Odessa, Uzhgorod, Kyiv.

The channels for disseminating information about the festival are the popular social network, traditional and online media, posters in the subway, lightboxes. At the same time the regional channels, universities, environmental- and social-oriented partner’s websites will be involved in the festival’s PR-campaign.

The NGO ‘The Ukrainian Environment Club Green Wave’ is the organizer of the festival in Ukraine. The program of the festival’s partners and a complete list of channels are available on request.
