The invitation to visit the festival at Kinshasa was met with mixed feelings. Curiosity was the motivating factor that first made me accept to be part of the programme. I was curious to learn more about the country and her people since I knew very little about DR.Congo apart from the wars.
At the same time I saw the opportunity as an adventure trip into the unknown that was very much worth taking. Although I must admit that I had some reservations, it was all overshadowed by the curiosity to learn more about the festival and the good people of Kinshasa.
