Regular readers of this blog will not have missed the fact that things have been a bit quiet lately. During the first half of the year there were several new developments in the focus of our work. In January, the Library of the Goethe-Institut New York took over responsibility for the Translation Grant Program of the Goethe-Instituts in the United States, work that is very interesting and that complements our literary program quite well.
In addition, we are preparing a major library project, which will begin this fall in New York and which also has claimed a large amount of our time.
But now our two colleagues from Germany, Nicole Krüger and Maren Krähling, have finally arrived and as of next week will be breathing new life into this blog.
So welcome. We’re looking forward to their contributions!
