Patrick Findeis, born 1975 in Heidenheim, lives and works as a writer in Berlin. He studied comparative literature at the University of Bonn before attaining his degree from the Deutsche Literaturinstitut Leipzig. He has published short stories and essays in various magazines such as EDIT, Sprache im technischen Zeitalter, and Neue Rundschau. His debut novel Kein schöner Land (Deutsche Verlagsanstalt, 2009) was awarded with the 3-Sat-Prize at the Tage der deutschsprachigen Literatur (Ingeborg-Bachmann-Prize) in Klagenfurt in 2008, and the Kunstpreis Literatur Brandenburg in 2009.
Born in 1974, Christiane Neudecker received her training as a theater director at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst "Ernst Busch" in Berlin, where she lives. She has staged numerous international productions with phase7 performing.arts. Her literary work, all published by Luchterhand, includes the collection of stories In der Stille ein Klang (2005), the novel Nirgendwo Sonst (2008) and Das siamesische Klavier (2010). She has received various national literary awards and grants.
