Beppe Severgnini lives in Crema (Lombardy). He is a columnist at Corriere della Sera and has authored numerous books and TV travel programmes (in Italy as well as the UK) and is the biggest-selling Italian author in the USA. His latest book Mamma Mia! Berlusconi’s Italy explained to posterity and friends abroad appeared in 2011. His La Bella Figura. A Field Guide to the Italian Mind was a bestseller in Germany and the New York Times Bestseller in the USA. He has been moderating the Italians forum since 1998. He has written for The Economist (1993-2003) and for the New York Times Syndicate (2007-2009). Beppe Severgnini was nominated European Journalist of the Year in 2004 in Brussels.
